Eligibility & Fit
Do I need to already have a startup?
Nope. Whether you’re just exploring an idea or already running a venture, there’s a place for you here.
Who can join?
If you’re between 15 and 30 and you’re curious, building, or scaling something — you’re in. You don’t need a business degree, fancy pitch deck, or a million followers. Just bring the spark.
What kind of ideas or ventures do you accept?
All kinds. Tech, fashion, social impact, food, climate, art — if it solves a problem or makes the world better (or weirder in a good way), we’re in.
Do I have to join a program to be a part of LOI?
Nope. You can join the LOI Founder Community anytime. Programs are one way to level up, but the community is open to everyone who’s building.
How to Apply
How do I apply?
Head to the Programs page, hit Apply, and tell us what you’re building (or dreaming of building). It’s simple — no jargon or 20-page forms
When do applications open?
We run multiple cohorts each year. Each program has its own start date — check the website for current deadlines.
Cost, Equity, and IP
Does LOI cost anything?
Nope. LOI is 100% free. No tuition, no hidden fees, no fine print.
Does LOI take equity in my company?
Never. You keep 100% ownership of what you build. We’re here to back you, not buy you.
Do I give up my IP (intellectual property)?
No. Your ideas, your code, your brand — they’re yours. LOI doesn’t claim ownership or rights.
Does LOI invest in startups?
We don’t write cheques directly, but we connect founders to the right investors, funders, and partners.
Why is it free? What's the catch?
There isn’t one. We’re a national charity supported by partners who believe in young founders. Your job is to build. Ours is to make sure you can.
