North House Opens Doors with Lean Startup Author Eric Ries, Smartsweets Founder Tara Bosch & Hootsuite Ryan Holmes Nov 30

8,000 sq ft of space for early-stage Vancouver ventures, investors and talent to collide — featuring a fireside with Lean Startup’s Eric Ries, Smartsweets’ Tara Bosch Hootsuite’s Ryan Holmes and VC Daniel Dubois

Vancouver, BC, November 30, 2025 — North House, a new 8,000 sq ft coworking and studio space aimed at serving Vancouver’s fastest growing early stage ventures, officially launches with a private fireside chat launch event. The event features a fireside chat with Eric Ries (author of The Lean Startup), Ryan Holmes (founder of Hootsuite and LOI Accelerator/Venture), Tara Bosch (founder of Smartsweets and bold Beginnings) alongside Daniel Dubois (2× exited founder, GP at a $100M seed fund, and LOI alum). The space is operated by League of Innovators (LOI) and built to be the engine room for Vancouver’s next gen of founders.

North House is designed from the ground up for early-stage founders who are hungry to scale: offering flexible workspaces, founder-first amenities, connection to mentors and investors, and a vibe that mirrors the creativity of cabin-retreat meets startup grind. The ambition: keep high-velocity teams in Vancouver, let them scale here, and build a tight-knit community of founders who give back.

“Vancouver deserves a place where high energy startup founders and their teams can build, iterate, and connect with those who’ve done it already,” says Rob Ironside, Executive Director of League of Innovators. “We built North House so you don’t have to fly out of town to get world-class infrastructure. You stay here, you scale here, you win here.”

The Nov 30 event is intentionally styled as an “anti-gala”: skip the suits, skip the formal dinner: just founders, energy, tacos, drinks and ideas. It kicks off at 2:00 PM with doors open, a 2:30 PM fireside chat with Ries + Holmes hosted by Dubois, followed by networking, demo-walkthroughs of the space and an informal founder happy hour.

North House already has ten early startups locked in as founding residents, including: Admission Prep; Tuff Media; BuzzMeUp, Six, Grounded AI; RentSimple.ai; Before Company, Xang Accounting, RetreatsAndVenue; Blossom Social; Handled AI, and Benny with a few dozen more on the waitlist. These ventures will be among the first to call North House home and help shape the community culture.

“Launching North House isn’t just about square-footage and desks, it’s about mindset, access and network that turns ideas into impact,” says Daniel Dubois. “With Eric Ries and Ryan Holmes on stage Day One, we’re signalling serious intent: this is a platform, not just a physical facility.”
